In briefChecked October 2026
Semenax is our top pick among semen-volume supplements. Of the two, it alone has a placebo-controlled trial of the finished product, and that trial reported a modest rise in ejaculate volume. It was small and funded by the company. VigRX Max Volume relies mainly on sunflower lecithin, zinc and L-arginine, and no one has studied it.
โก The short verdict
Our choice is Semenax, the top pick among semen-volume supplements. A published randomized trial tested the product itself: average volume rose by roughly half a milliliter, while the placebo group saw a small decline. VigRX Max Volume has no product study, and there's not much human evidence that lecithin increases volume. Expect modest results from either one.
A capsule sold under the VigRX name. Third-party listings show sunflower lecithin (1,000 mg), L-arginine (100 mg), zinc (40 mg) and AstraGin. We couldn't confirm the label on the official site, and the product itself hasn't been studied.
Leading Edge Health makes this blend of 16 amino acids and herbs, including L-arginine, L-lysine, zinc, L-carnitine and Swedish flower pollen. One small, company-funded trial found a modest volume gain over placebo. It found no difference in sperm quality, sexual function or orgasm.
Semenax is our top pick among semen-volume supplements. One caveat: its only trial was small, company-funded and showed no clear benefit in men who already had low volume. Order direct, since counterfeits have been documented.
We lean toward Semenax. Only it has a published placebo-controlled trial of the product, and that trial found a modest increase in ejaculate volume. No one has studied VigRX Max Volume.
Semenax combines 16 amino acids and herbs, and the sales page doesn't give amounts. VigRX Max Volume is a simpler capsule centered on sunflower lecithin, with L-arginine, zinc and AstraGin, according to third-party listings.
Each one contains zinc and L-arginine, so using both stacks those amounts. Talk to a healthcare professional before combining them, and count any zinc from a multivitamin too.
This comes from the official Semenax website. Empty containers must reach the warehouse within 67 days of delivery, shipping costs aren't refunded, and each customer gets one refund. Counterfeits have turned up elsewhere, and one contained undeclared yohimbine.
L-arginine appears in both and can lower blood pressure, so be careful if you use nitrates, ED drugs or blood pressure medicines. Keep an eye on total zinc if you take other supplements. Semenax also has hawthorn, vitamin E and flower pollen, so see a doctor first if you take blood thinners or have a pollen allergy. See a doctor if semen volume suddenly drops, or if you have pain or blood in your semen.
