Here we describe the personal data Trusted Health Reviews collects through trustedhealthreviewsonline.com, our reasons for collecting it, and the choices open to you. "We" refers to whoever operates Trusted Health Reviews.
1. Data we collect
- Contact form. When you write to us, we get your name, email address, subject and message. Please leave health details out of your message.
- Analytics (only if you accept). Click Accept on our cookie banner, and Google Analytics sets cookies and logs how the site is used: the pages viewed, your approximate location (country/region), your device and browser type, and how you reached us. Click Reject, or make no choice, and Google Analytics does not load.
- Your cookie choice. Your Accept/Reject choice is kept in your browser's local storage, which spares you from being asked on every page.
- Server logs. Our web host keeps routine logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
2. Our purposes and legal basis
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (UK/EU) |
|---|---|---|
| Answering your message | Contact form data | Legitimate interests in responding to enquiries |
| Learning which pages readers find useful | Google Analytics data | Your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) |
| Keeping the site secure and running | Server logs | Legitimate interests |
Your personal data is not sold by us, and we don't use it for advertising or unsolicited marketing.
3. Cookies and how to choose
Google Analytics cookies (their names begin _ga) are set only once you click Accept. In our Analytics settings, Google signals and ad personalization are switched off. You can change your choice by clicking Cookie settings at the foot of any page, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings.
4. Services we rely on
- Google Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland) — analytics, used only with your consent. Data may be processed in the United States under Google's safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Formspree (USA) — handles contact form messages for us and forwards them to us by email.
- Our web host — holds the website and the server logs. Fonts on the site are stored on our own server, so a page load doesn't contact Google unless you accept analytics.
5. Affiliate links
Clicking an affiliate link takes you away from our site. The seller and its affiliate network may set cookies to note that you arrived from us, so that we can be paid a commission. What they collect is covered by their own privacy policies. We never receive your order or payment details.
6. Retention periods
- Contact messages: kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Google Analytics data: kept for 14 months.
- Server logs: kept for the period our host sets, usually a few weeks.
7. Rights you have
Readers in the UK or EU may ask us for access to their personal data, or for it to be corrected or deleted. You may also ask us to restrict or object to our use of it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent whenever you like. A complaint can be made to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to your local data protection authority.
Readers in a US state with a privacy law (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Washington) may ask what personal data we hold about them, and ask us to delete or correct it. We neither sell personal data nor share it for targeted advertising. We don't knowingly collect consumer health data, so please don't send health details through the contact form.
Send any request through the contact form. Our reply will come within one month.
8. Children
The site is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has been in touch with us, let us know and we'll delete the data.
9. Changes
Should this policy change, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
