Confitrol24 contains the Urox blend, studied in one published, company-funded 8-week trial. We cover that trial, the undisclosed dose, the guarantee and safety cautions.
It might help some people with mild urgency or frequency. We name Confitrol24 our top pick among bladder-support supplements since its Urox blend has one published placebo-controlled trial with encouraging results. The patent holder funded that trial and no one has independently repeated it. Confitrol24 itself hasn't been tested, and the product doesn't say if it holds the trial dose.
Three botanicals make up Urox: horsetail (Equisetum arvense), Crateva nurvala stem bark and Lindera aggregata. A single randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial has been published (Schoendorfer et al., 2018), in which 150 adults with overactive bladder symptoms took 2 x 420 mg of Urox each day for 8 weeks. At week 8 they averaged 7.7 daytime trips a day, against 11.0 on placebo, and also reported less urgency, night-time urination and leakage. Side effects were mild in both groups and similar.
Seipel Group, the Urox patent holder, paid for the trial, and a company representative co-authored it, so it is not independent. Its effects were unusually large and have not been replicated. The further Urox trials mentioned in older marketing are ones we could not find. And since Confitrol24's official page lists Urox ingredients without amounts per capsule, you can't check it against the 840 mg a day used in the trial.
Get a doctor's opinion before trying to treat new or worsening bladder symptoms yourself. Blood in the urine, pain, fever or signs of infection need prompt care. Because horsetail is a mild diuretic, people on diuretics or lithium, or with kidney disease, should ask a doctor. Confitrol24 isn't for pregnancy or breastfeeding. Its guarantee lasts 67 days from delivery, and conditions limit which containers can be returned.
