Does GenF20 Plus Work? HGH Support Evidence Reviewed
GenF20 Plus has a single small product trial on IGF-1. Here is what it showed and didn't, the ingredient doses, the 67-day guarantee terms and who should avoid it.
In briefChecked October 2026
Evidence is weak here. GenF20 Plus is our top pick among HGH-releaser supplements, and among HGH releasers it's unusual in having been tested as a finished product. Yet in that one small trial, IGF-1 rose no more than placebo to a statistically significant degree across all participants. Nobody measured growth hormone, and body fat, energy, sleep and libido showed no significant differences.
What the Product Trial Found
The one product trial is Sonawane et al. (2015), a randomized, placebo-controlled study in India. Among 70 adults aged 35 to 65, some were assigned GenF20 Plus and the rest placebo for 12 weeks (two tablets and 2 mL of liquid under the tongue, twice a day), and 61 completed it. For all participants combined, IGF-1, a blood marker linked to growth hormone, climbed 13.46 ng/mL on GenF20 Plus and 6.35 ng/mL on placebo. The gap was not statistically significant.
The 28% rise that gets quoted so often comes from a later analysis, limited to participants aged 40 and over and adjusted for baseline differences. Placebo and GenF20 Plus did not differ significantly on body fat, lean mass, waist, memory, libido, energy or sleep. A contract research firm with outside financial support ran this small, exploratory trial, and nobody has independently repeated it.
GenF20 Plus has no growth hormone in it. Mayo Clinic notes that research hasn't shown supplements that claim to raise HGH to work. The FTC stated in 2005 that it knew of no competent evidence for HGH pills or sprays raising growth hormone. For a comparison with prescription treatment, see HGH supplements vs HGH injections.
Main Ingredients (tablet, per serving)
L-arginine 130 mg, which is a small fraction of the multi-gram doses used in arginine growth hormone research
L-glutamine 115 mg, plus L-glycine, L-lysine and L-tyrosine at 100 mg each, all small amounts
GABA 50 mg, which may lower blood pressure
Animal-derived, so not vegetarian: bovine colostrum 50 mg, deer antler velvet 50 mg and anterior pituitary powder 30 mg
Astragalus root extract 60 mg, with smaller amounts of other amino acids and chromium. The official site doesn't list the oral spray's ingredients
GenF20 Plus has a 67-day guarantee counted from delivery. Conditions apply: opened and unopened boxes must reach the warehouse within 67 days, and shipping isn't refunded. Who should avoid it is covered in our GenF20 Plus side effects guide.
Evidence is weak. In its one small trial, the overall IGF-1 rise did not reach statistical significance against placebo, and only a later analysis of people aged 40 and over showed a positive result. Growth hormone wasn't measured, and body fat, energy and sleep matched placebo.
Over the 12 weeks of the product trial, energy, sleep and body composition were not significantly different from placebo. The guarantee runs 67 days from delivery. Decide by about day 55 so returns arrive within 67 days of delivery, if you'd like to keep the refund option.
Its small trial reported no problem with side effects. Still, skip it in pregnancy, breastfeeding, under-18s, or with a history of cancer unless an oncologist agrees. L-arginine and GABA may lower blood pressure, and the formula has deer antler velvet, colostrum and pituitary powder. If you take blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid or blood-thinning medicines, ask your doctor.
In practice, the guarantee covers orders from the official website. It lasts 67 days from delivery, shipping isn't refunded, and each customer gets one refund.
GenF20 Plus has one small product trial, whose overall IGF-1 result was non-significant. HyperGH 14x has no product trial, but it lists larger amino acid amounts and a spray with Mucuna pruriens. Details are on our comparison page.
