Going beyond the sales page, we looked at who sells VigRX Plus, what its single clinical trial actually showed, and how refunds work in practice.
Is VigRX Plus legit? Yes. Leading Edge Health, a real and long-running company, sells it, and a published placebo-controlled study exists. That study was small (75 men finished it) and short, with no clear funding disclosure, so it doesn't show the product works for everyone. The 67-day guarantee is real but strict, and counterfeits from unauthorized sellers are a genuine risk. VigRX Plus is not a treatment for erectile dysfunction, so see a doctor about symptoms that persist.
Leading Edge Health, a supplement company with a long history in this niche, sells VigRX Plus. Three entities appear on the official site: Leading Edge Health Inc. (Victoria, British Columbia), Leading Edge Health Ltd. (Limassol, Cyprus) and LEM Processing LLC (Las Vegas, Nevada). They are real, listed addresses, not a PO box or a contact form.
Over the years the company has used other names. Older records say Leading Edge Marketing, and the 2012 clinical paper describes the product as marketed by Leading Edge Herbals. It may look confusing, but a business this old often changes names, and the product line is the same.
On its history, the official site says VigRX Plus comes from "a trusted USA company since 2007." Outside records agree it has been sold since at least the late 2000s: the clinical trial took place in 2009, and the Better Business Bureau's ad watchdog reviewed the product in an advertising review in 2010. A supplement still on the market after well over 15 years is hardly a fly-by-night operation.
Most "legit" articles skip this section. VigRX Plus has a published, peer-reviewed trial, which few products in this category can claim. The details:
| Detail | Details from the paper |
|---|---|
| Citation | Shah GR, Chaudhari MV, Patankar SB, Pensalwar SV, Sabale VP, Sonawane NA. BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine, 2012; 12:155 |
| Design | Randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled |
| Who took part | 78 men aged 25 to 50 with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction, treated at clinics in India |
| Completed | 75 completed it (39 on VigRX Plus, 36 on placebo) |
| Dose and duration | 2 capsules, twice a day, for 12 weeks |
| Main measure | The International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF), a standard questionnaire |
| Main result | The IIEF erectile function score went up an average of 9 points with VigRX Plus against 0.61 with placebo |
| Side effects | 11 adverse events in the VigRX Plus group and 12 in the placebo group, mostly mild |
Scores for desire, orgasmic function and satisfaction also improved versus placebo, according to the authors. Those numbers look strong on paper. Our article on whether VigRX Plus works explains what they mean in real life.
The study is genuine, and it tested the finished product rather than one ingredient. Even so, one small trial with unclear funding gives a starting point, not proof. On timing, our guide to how long VigRX Plus takes to work explains what a 12-week design means for expectations.
The official VigRX Plus site, as of October 2026, advertises a "67-Day Money Back Guarantee." The small print matters more than the headline:
The guarantee is genuine and workable, but it's less easy than it sounds. Suppose you buy one month's supply and decide it isn't for you: look hard at whether you'd qualify. Hold on to your containers, note when it was delivered and use tracking on returns, well before day 67. To keep the refund option, decide by about day 55 so returns arrive within 67 days of delivery.
The Better Business Bureau has a Victoria, BC profile for Leading Edge Health Inc. showing an A+ rating and BBB accreditation since August 2016. The few public reviews there are negative, mostly about refunds and orders that never came. Some angry reviews are normal for any company that ships internationally, but they're a cue to keep your paperwork.
Advertising is the larger concern. The BBB's Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program (ERSP) examined claims for VigRX, VigRX Plus and VigRX Oil. That was in 2010, and its finding was this: the VigRX Plus study backed some claims about desire, orgasmic function and satisfaction. It advised the company to change or drop claims on stamina, erection size, clinical proof and doctor approval, and to say more plainly that it owned a review site endorsing its own products. Leading Edge agreed to make the changes.
There are two ways to read that. The company cooperated, which is a fair sign. But the episode also shows its marketing has outrun the evidence before, so be careful with bold claims.
Fakes aren't just a theory. Health Canada has published an advisory on counterfeit VigRX and VigRX Plus seized and tested in New Zealand. Undeclared prescription drugs turned up in them, including sildenafil and, in one VigRX Plus sample, tadalafil. Health Canada made clear these were counterfeits, not the authentic product.
Hidden prescription drugs are dangerous. In men taking nitrates they can cause a serious blood pressure drop, and they interact with other medicines. That's the best reason to steer clear of unknown sellers on eBay, third-party Amazon listings or social media ads. Our guide on where to buy VigRX Plus covers safer options. Buying from an unauthorized seller may also leave you outside the manufacturer's guarantee.
Even the real product has risks. Its herbs, including ginkgo and ginseng, may interact with blood thinners, blood pressure medicines, diabetes medicines and some antidepressants. Anyone on prescription medication or with a heart condition should talk to a doctor first. Our article on VigRX Plus side effects explains who should avoid it.
| Green flags | Red flags |
|---|---|
| An established company with real, listed addresses | One clinical study only, with no clear funding disclosure |
| A published placebo-controlled trial of the real product | Earlier ad claims outran the evidence (2010 ERSP review) |
| The official site shows the whole ingredient list | The main sales page doesn't show ingredient amounts |
| A money-back guarantee in writing | Strict guarantee: empty boxes, a firm 67-day cutoff, no shipping refund |
| BBB accredited, A+ rating | Counterfeits with prescription drugs inside have turned up |
As a business, VigRX Plus is legit. Leading Edge Health is a real company with a long history, the product has been sold for well over 15 years, a published placebo-controlled trial exists, and the refund policy is in writing.
Being legit isn't the same as being proven. We're relying on one small study in healthy younger men, funding is unclear, and the company's advertising has gone too far in the past. Treat VigRX Plus as a dietary supplement and nothing more: it is not a treatment for erectile dysfunction. Ongoing erection problems deserve a doctor's visit, because they can be an early warning of heart or blood vessel trouble. Should you try it, order from the official site, save your empty containers and mind the 67-day deadline. Our complete VigRX Plus review goes further on ingredients and value.

The money-back guarantee runs 67 days: try two containers over 60 days, and the empty containers (plus any unopened ones) must reach the warehouse within 67 days of delivery. Shipping isn't refunded, and each customer can place one order.
