One company makes both, and each cites a published placebo-controlled trial. But the herbs are entirely different, and the trials looked at different problems.
Which product fits depends on your main concern. Is it erection quality? Then look at VigRX Plus, whose 2012 trial measured erectile function in men with mild to moderate ED. Is it finishing too soon? ProSolution Plus is built around that goal, and its 2011 trial included premature ejaculation scores. Both products rest on small, short trials run by groups tied to the formulas, so neither is proven. Neither is a treatment for erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation; see a doctor about persistent symptoms.
Both products come from Leading Edge Health. So you're not choosing between rival brands, but between two products aimed at different problems. Marketing for VigRX Plus centers on erections, desire and satisfaction. ProSolution Plus is pitched mainly on ejaculation control, with erection quality as a secondary claim.
No ingredients overlap. VigRX Plus rests on traditional Western and Chinese aphrodisiac herbs such as ginseng, ginkgo and damiana. ProSolution Plus draws on Ayurvedic botanicals, including ashwagandha, Mucuna pruriens and shilajit. Each product has one published randomized trial, which most products in this category can't claim, but both trials have real limits.

Neither official site gives ingredient amounts on its main sales or formula page. The fair comparison is therefore which herbs each product contains. For doses, read the Supplement Facts panel on the bottle.

Two details are good to know. In its 2012 trial, the VigRX Plus formula contained 11 ingredients, among them Tribulus, Cuscuta and Epimedium, but the current site names eight. Meanwhile the ProSolution Plus paper calls the formula it tested E-MA-H. That formula has seven herbal extracts, which match the seven ingredients on today's ProSolution Plus site. A second version with two extra herbs was also tested.
The VigRX Plus study was randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled, with men taking two capsules twice a day for 12 weeks. Its main outcome was the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). On that measure, the erectile function score rose by 9 points on average with VigRX Plus, against 0.61 with placebo. Gains in desire, orgasmic function and satisfaction were also reported by the authors. Our article on whether VigRX Plus works explains what those numbers mean.
Limits: just 75 men completed it, all were fairly young and healthy, the placebo group hardly changed, and the paper carries no clear funding statement.
Four groups made up the ProSolution Plus trial, which randomized 148 men for 60 days: placebo, a low dose of E-MA-H, a higher dose of E-MA-H, and the E-MA-HP version. Researchers measured the IIEF and an Index of Premature Ejaculation (IPE). On both, all three active groups improved more than placebo. Take IPE scores: they went from about 26.5 to 30.3 with placebo, and from about 27.2 to 36.9 with the low dose.
This trial's limits differ, but they matter just as much:
Our write-up of the ProSolution Plus clinical study goes through the paper in more detail.
Across both trials, side effects were mostly mild and about as common on the supplement as on placebo. The ProSolution Plus study found stomach complaints (acidity, gas, upset stomach) most common in every group, placebo too. This is reassuring, but small, short trials can miss less common problems.
Each product raises its own concerns about herbs. Ginkgo and ginseng, both in VigRX Plus, can affect bleeding and blood sugar, so men taking blood thinners or diabetes medicines need to check first. ProSolution Plus has ashwagandha, which can interact with thyroid, blood pressure, diabetes and sedative medicines, and Mucuna, which naturally contains L-dopa. That matters for anyone on Parkinson's medicines or MAO inhibitor antidepressants. Our guides to VigRX Plus side effects and ProSolution Plus side effects say who should avoid each.
See your doctor before trying either product if you take any prescription medicine, have a heart condition or have ongoing erection problems. Erection problems may be an early sign of heart or blood vessel disease.
We checked both official sites in October 2026. VigRX Plus showed one month from about $62 and three months from about $52 a month. ProSolution Plus showed one month at $69. Its multi-month package prices in the cart didn't add up consistently with the savings advertised, so confirm the total at checkout before you pay.
Their guarantees work alike. Try two containers over 60 days, then send back the empty containers so they arrive within 67 days of delivery. Shipping is not refunded, and each customer is limited to one refund. Our supplement money-back guarantee guide shows how to avoid missing a deadline like that.
Check with a doctor or pharmacist before taking both. The combination doubles the herbs and the chance of an interaction, and no trial tested it.
Mayo Clinic's options for premature ejaculation include behavioral techniques, pelvic floor exercises, numbing products, counseling and some prescription options. All have a stronger evidence base than any herbal blend. A doctor can help you work out which suits you.
These products aren't really rivals. VigRX Plus aims at erection quality, with a small trial in younger men with mild to moderate ED. ProSolution Plus aims at ejaculation control, with a larger trial run by its developer and some unusual dose results. Match the product to your main concern, buy from the official site so the 67-day guarantee applies, and keep expectations modest. Neither is a treatment for ED or premature ejaculation, so if the problem persists, see a doctor first.
