Semenax Review: What Its One Published Trial Found

Semenax has one small, company-funded, placebo-controlled trial. We cover its semen volume result, what it didn't show, the ingredient list and safety cautions.

In briefChecked October 2026

Possibly a modest rise in ejaculate volume. The one published trial analyzed 63 men over 2 months. Average volume went from 2.49 to 2.97 ml with Semenax and dipped slightly with placebo, a statistically significant gap. Sperm count, sperm quality, sexual function and orgasm showed no difference from placebo. The trial was small, and the maker paid for it. We name Semenax our top pick among semen-volume supplements.

The trial behind Semenax

Researchers enrolled 78 men aged 30 to 60 in India during 2011 and 2012. The main analysis included 63 of them, 32 on Semenax and 31 on placebo. Participants took 4 capsules twice a day for two months. On Semenax, average ejaculate volume climbed from 2.49 to 2.97 ml. On placebo it slipped from 2.64 to 2.43 ml. Volume rose by 20% or more in half of the Semenax group, against 16% on placebo.

Several limits deserve attention. Leading Edge Health funded the study, and its lead author is affiliated with the company. Publication came about ten years after the trial ran. Men with normal volume benefited significantly, but men with low volume (under 2 ml), who are the product's intended audience, did not. Sperm count, motility, sexual function scores and orgasm quality showed no significant difference from placebo, and no outside team has repeated the work.

Some older pages pointed to a 2006 study in the journal Urology. That study looked at a different flower pollen product and its effect on chronic prostatitis symptoms. It did not involve Semenax or semen volume.

Key Ingredients

On the official ingredients page (October 2026), 16 ingredients appear, and none comes with an amount:

Epimedium and Tribulus terrestris were part of the trial formula but don't appear on the current page. We couldn't confirm whether the formula has changed. Safety details are in our Semenax side effects article.

Your questions, answered

It may modestly raise ejaculate volume. In its one small, company-funded trial, volume went up more than with placebo across two months. Sperm quality, sexual function and orgasm showed no difference.

Results in the trial were measured at two months. The company suggests a 60-day try. To qualify for a refund, returned containers need to reach its warehouse within 67 days of delivery.

If you use nitrates, avoid it. Check with your doctor first if you take ED drugs, blood pressure medicines, blood thinners, diabetes medicines or digoxin, since L-arginine, hawthorn and vitamin E can interact with them. A pollen allergy is a reason to skip it, and anyone with a hormone-sensitive condition should ask a doctor.

Order from the official site. The guarantee covers purchases made through the company. Australia's TGA also found a counterfeit 'Semenax' that contained undeclared yohimbine.

Semenax is our top pick among semen-volume supplements since it has a published placebo-controlled trial, even though that trial is small and company-funded. Volume Pills is an alternative for volume and has no comparable published trial of its own.
